"A Season for Love"

Published 2012

SUMMARY

A one-act play written by Franklin L. West, set in four scenes, about the mystery and magic of love. This story is told by two sisters Alpha and Omega, through an intimate conversation. Each scene centers on a particular type of love. The first scene concerns selfless, unconditional, and self-sacrificing love (spring). The second centers on the flirtatious love of the young who are learning how to love (summer). Misguided or unfortunate love is the theme of the third scene—wishing for, waiting on, and wanting love, which may have tragic consequences. The fourth scene shows true love, the appreciation and celebration of it. Musical performances support the text and the concept of universal love. Copyright 2008 by Franklin L. West

Note: The seasons are utilized to express the energy of the time of day that the respective scene occurs, therefore do not appear in their natural order. All scenes weave in and out of time, space, reality and virtual reality. They are inspired and motivated by love and propelled by The Truth.
